If ur gona use it as a double hander then consider getting a switch line grain rated to the rod. Check out the barrio switch lines.

      Hi Jon.
On the barrio site they have the following information!
      Switch 5/6 - 340 grains (approx 22 grams)
      Switch 6/7 - 380 grains (approx 24.5 grams)
      Switch 7/8 - 425 grains (approx 27.5 grams)
      Switch 8/9 - 470 grains (approx 30.5 grams)
As such and the rod being a 7\8 weight, is it still the 24 gram that i should get!
Once again thanks for the help!

Anyone know if they are bringing out a lighter rod? 5/6 or so?

Just received this from Shakespeare for anyone interested!

Recommend a head weight of 23-25 grams. We have found 23g is best for overhead casting and 25g for Spey. A 28-30g shooting head also works well.*

Hope this helps! Please let me know how you get on with the rod.*
              So that's the answer!
