Default Ponoi - June 2010

Just got back from the opening week on the Ponoi. All the ice and snow had gone, and the river had dropped back to a fantastic level, much quicker than expected.

The group of 14 had 906 clean salmon for the week, with around 1300+ taken including kelts.

I managed 105 for the week, which was some sport. I fished a lot from the bank and got 27 one day by doing so, which I was well cuffed with.

A lot of fish in the 10-15lbs bracket, with the biggest of the week going 18lbs.

A couple of shots from the week:

Thanks for all the comments, much appreciated. To be honest I wasn't too busy with the camera this time, the salmon were keeping me entertained!

A fantastic week and a fantastic experience.
