The last 18 months, I have been swopping and changing my flies to find success {;.

If i could narrow it down to maybe half a dozen what would they be |\.

Anything with black and silver I would suggest, for e.g. Stoat's Tail and Silver Stoat's Tail in various sizes. (maybe a touch of red, blue or yellow).

I like the Medicine Fly or Teal Blue and Silver.

I am also informed the Mallard and Claret is rather a good sea trout fly.

These are only a suggestion for night - time Sea Trout Fishing.

Once again, as a member quoted "confidence in your fly is nearly everything!" and I'm very confident in the above selection.

How about just 5:

Black and pearl waddy (1 inch)
Black and pearl tube (2-3 inch)
Black and silver double (e.g. silver stoat, maybe with a coloured hackle, either blue or orange) (sizes 6-12)
Deuoni (single hook sizes 4-10)
Surface lure (mouse or similar)

Yes I carry a lot more flies, but in reality that covers 90% of my fishing |\
