August Sea Trout on the Lune

Does any member fish throughout August on the River Lune for Sea Trout?

If so, what do you suggest the prospects are after the previous lift.

One of my colleagues has suggested when the River drops back to around Summer level, then fish can be expected!

Small flies or standard?

Sorry Holly, I know nothing about the Lune so am unable to assist. Perhaps worth trying it in the sea trout advice section though rather than river reports, so have moved it accordingly.

I would assume that it's very much the same tactics as any other sea trout river, as they rarely deviate from one system to another. However, I'm sure someone on here will provide some insight.

I have fished the lune a bit (not for a few years), but standard sea trout tactics seemed to work for me. Smallish bushy dropper with a large single or small tube on a floating line to start, then deeper and bigger later in the night.

Where do you fish?
