  • Brown Turkey

I am on the Annan on Saturday and this pattern is renowned as a winner on the beat that we are fishing. The original dressing utilises mottled turkey slips for winging but it is my hope that the mobility of the Arctic fox winged version may prove more appealing to a big old Jock springer :-*

    The Dressing

    Hook: Kamasan B270 Size 6
    Thread: Black
Tail: Yellow dyed polar bear fur
    Tag: Medium gold wire
Body: In 3 parts dubbed yellow at rear, red in middle and black at front seals fur
    Rib: Medium gold wire
    Underwing: Brown dyed calf tail
overlaid with 2 doubled strands of medium pearl Krystalflash
Hackle: Doubled black dyed grizzle hen saddle hackle
Wing: Rusty red brown Arctic fox
    Cheeks: Jungle cock nails
