  • River Till, wee doubles

Just got a chance to photograph some of Malcolm Johnson' Till killers. All dressed on size 10-14 doubles - I believe they're sprite doubles, closest I could find anyway.

From the man himself and well worth trying on your home river, wherever that may be:

    Enjoy!

    TT.

Fantastic flies. Would work well on Nith in low water.

Totally agree STE. Haven't been up for the last 2 season, but am planning a return to the Nith this July.

            Whereabouts do you fish?

How are the runs holding up?

            TT.

              Hi TT

I fish the town water. The runs on it are still productive. A lot of gravel movement over last couple of years. A few good pools been filled in but also a few new ones have opened up. Lost a nice sea trout on first night of season. Got one of 3lbs a week later and lost another about same size. Lots of nice offers. The fish are there. Just hoping the rain doesn't come hard or it will be back to the tying bench I go.

              Have you been out yet?

              STE
