33.5lbs sea-trout!!

Check out this 33.5lbs sea-trout taken from the Rio Grande around a month ago! It measured 103cm (40.5 inches) long and was caught on a #8 rod!

It was caught by Ale Bianchetti, a really great guy that I have had the pleasure of fishing with in Bolivia and at Villa Maria. The fish took a leech pattern, which are regularly used down in S.America for the sea-trout.

I think it's a superb looking fish, and must have given a fantastic account for itself, especially being at Villa Maria, which is just above the tidal reaches.

What a stunning fish, a fish of a life time,

A mate of mine was out there in Feb, and had 55 fish in a weeks fishing.
The best was 22lb 08oz, out of the 55 fish 30+ were over 10lb. great fishing,
And one good thing most of the fish were caught, on flies i tied up for him|\|\
