Spoiling myself

I really like my fly tying, so i thought i would spoil myself. this Christmas, and had a new fly tying desk built for me.


Here is the desk, before i start loading it up with fly tying bits.

Desk top, showing Acrylic sunk into desk top. making it easy to wipe clean, plus expanding book shelf.

The desk, is made out of oak, and here is a close up of draws. showing the oak bur fronts.

I think those photo's are the first/last time we'll see a 'clean desk.':> And I thought (the boxes) I had collected "stuff" over the years. Fred's collection may well be 'Child's Play.'

Well guys, just about come to the end of spoiling myself. have added a bit more to mt tying/rod room,


Here's my tying desk now, with a added 16 draws to the top. loads of storage now|\

And two new cabinets, for storing my materials. and the expanding book shelf on top,

And my little photo studio, for taking photos of flies.

In the middle now, of making a cabinet for my reels and rods. so just about finished~# sure i will find some thing else to do.:>

Back in the single days, i had a cracking set up in my bachelor pad. Had a side entrance to the house next to where i parked the car, with a tiled floor. Some shelves, and suitable hooks meant that rods, boots, and wet coats etc easily dealt with. Then the small back room was a study with the computer set up, the full fly tying kit, and a book shelf for reference purposes!
