    Had to tie some decent looking versions of the flies I fish in the late season for an upcoming article, so decided to take a few snaps of them first before sending, which I hope will be of interest to some of you:



    Jambo – Surface Lure.
    Front hook; 1/0 aberdeen, clipped after tying.
    Back hook; size 8 owner stinger treble, red.
    Connection; 40lbs black amnesia nylon.
    Back hook body; black thread, narrow holo silver tinsel rib. Superglue over.
    Front hook body; black floss, ribbed with holo siver tinsel rib. Superglue over.
    Wing 1: royal blue and black bucktail mixed
    Wing 2: silver krystal flash.
    Head: spun black deer hair, clipped to shape.



    Stoats Tail Variant
    Hook; longshank or double 10-6
    Tail: Golden pheasant topping
    Body: peacock glister mixed with black seals fur
    Rib: silver oval tinsel
    Wing 1: black squirrel
    Wing 2: 4 strands peacock black krinkle mirror flash
    Wing 3: peacock sword fibres
    Cheeks: jungle cock, optional
    Head hackle: black hen or schlappen hackle.




    Zulu variant
    Hook; longshank 10-6
    Tail: fl.red antron wool
    Front body: black floss
    Rib: medium silver holo, superglue over.
    Rear body: black long straggle fritz or tri-lobal.
    Wing: black squirrel
    Head hackle: black schlappen.



    Teifi-Terror (modern tying).
    Hook; longshank 10-6
    Tail: furnace hackle fibres
    Rear body: black floss, ribbed with medium gold holo tinsel.
    Front body: gold lite-brite then black hackle palmered through
    Wing: black squirrel
    Head hackle: furnace

    Great looking flies TT - will be tying up some of those singles. What other flies would you recommend as point flies for the Teifi in late July?
