As many of you may be aware Paul Eliot owner and operator of the Wainsford fishery passed away on Sept 4th after a long battle with cancer, Paul was one of the niceset guys i ever met and his service and enthusiasm for the west country seatrout & salmon rivers is unsurpassed, I wish his wife Irene & son Jeff the best for the future.

Truly sad news. I never had the pleasure of meeting or fishing with Paul, but never heard a bad word said about him. From what I understood he really transformed the fishing on the Fowey and what he setup at Wainsford was a marvel.
Tragic. I hope his family are well and I hope that someone will continue his legacy at Wainsford.
