  • Grayling Chowder

is that time again when I get rather depressed as the majority of my salmon fishing has come to an end. I am now relegated to chasing fat silver pigs that some poor miscreant labelled 'ladies of the stream'. This of course could not be further from the truth since grayling eat just about everything they can stuff down themselves and can also fight a badger. Here are a couple of creations that work famously well on the Welsh Dee. You might want to try them yourselves.

The things do of course need ballast to keep them down in fast churning water.

Very nice good job on the weaving too; a difficult art to master.

    TT.

cracking flies. Would love to see a step by step of how you do your weaving as it's very well done and much better than mine!
